Step-by-Step Instructions

Submitting the address change request
You can submit your address change request in several ways:
Online: Through the Government Personal Area, after registering.
Self-service kiosk: If you have a biometric ID card, you can update your address and receive a new appendix at service kiosks in Population Authority offices or at self-service kiosks. Identify yourself using the password you received when your ID card was issued, or using a credit card.
In person at a Population Authority office: Go to the Population Authority office nearest to your place of residence. This service is provided at the office without needing an appointment.
By post: Send the request form together with the required documents to: National Service and Information Centre, Agrippas 42, Jerusalem (recommended to send by registered post for tracking purposes).
*If you only want to change your mailing address (for receiving post) without changing your registered residential address, you can do that using the address change form for mail delivery, submitted in person at an office.

Cases where a personal visit to the office is required for an address change
Parents changed address and you want to move to their new address:
- Adults over 18 must bring a written letter from the parents confirming the change, as well as the parents' ID cards.
- Soldiers on compulsory service or students do not need a written authorisation, but must still come to the office in person with an official document proving their status as a soldier or student.
You changed your address within the 12 months preceding the current request (Aliyah also counts as an address change): You must present proof of residence (such as a rental contract) or a written explanation for the requested change.
You want to change your address back to a previous address already in the Population Registry: You must present proof of residence at that address, or a written explanation.
You want to change your address to a small locality with up to 15,000 residents: You must present confirmation from the locality's secretary.
Unmarried parents of a child under 18 who want to change the child's address:
- If there is a divorce agreement in which custody of the child is held by the parent submitting the request, come to the office with the original divorce agreement.
- In any other case, both parents must come to the office in person to give their consent to the address change.
You want to change your address to Eilat: You must submit the request at the Population and Immigration Authority office in Eilat, together with proof of residence in the city.
The request is submitted on behalf of someone who has been assigned a guardian (Apotropos):
- If the person understands the nature of the request, no guardian consent is needed, but the person must appear at the Population Registry office.
- If the guardian is submitting the request, the guardian must come to the office with the original guardianship order — including parents of children over 18 if they are mentioned in the guardianship order.
- If the person has multiple guardians, all of them must come to the office to give their consent to the address change.
