Health funds (kupot holim) set a maximum quarterly cap on the co-payments a family pays for medical services.
- An Oleh family in their first year in Israel is entitled to a 50% reduction in that quarterly payment cap.

List of services
The reduced cap applies to co-payments for the following services:
- Secondary (specialist) doctor: A specialist physician — including a psychiatrist — who is not a primary-care doctor, as well as dietitians and podiatrists.
- Primary-care doctors are general practitioners (non-specialists) and specialists in family medicine, paediatrics, internal medicine, and gynaecology. Visits to a primary-care doctor carry no co-payment.
- Outpatient clinics: Clinics operating within general hospitals (including mental-health clinics in general hospitals).
- Institutes:
- Imaging institutes: X-ray, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, CT, echocardiography, MRI.
- Diagnostic institutes: EEG, EMG, audiometry, ergometry.
- Gastroenterology institute and sleep-disorders institute.

- An Oleh Chadash in their first year in Israel and their family.

How to use this right
The benefit is applied automatically. Once your family reaches the quarterly cap amount, the system should stop charging you for additional services in that quarter.
